CONAB expects the production of soybeans, Brazil's main export, which is nearing the end of its planting cycle, to total 152.7 million tons, 22.2 percent higher than in 2021-2022.
Regarding the three annual harvests of corn, the total is projected to be 125.06 million tons, an increase of 10.5 percent in relation to the last cycle.
Meanwhile, CONAB forecasts a 9.3 percent reduction in the cultivated area of rice, estimated at 1.5 million hectares, with production of 10.4 million tons.
In addition, the total area under bean cultivation is expected to decrease 1.8 percent, to 2.96 million tons, CONAB said.
The wheat harvest, which has been completed, will reach a new record, estimated at 9.8 million tons, 27.2 percent higher than the previous harvest.
