Japan's GDP growth at 6 pct in Q2

TOKYO, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- Japan's economy expanded in the April-June quarter, the government said in a report on Tuesday.

According to the Cabinet Office, the economy here in the recording period grew at an annualized rate of 6.0 percent.

The increase in the real gross domestic product (GDP), the total value of goods and services produced in Japan adjusted for inflation during the quarter, equals a 1.5-percent rise from the previous quarter, the government's preliminary figures showed.
