Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices advanced on Thursday.

The West Texas Intermediate for May delivery added 1.16 U.S. dollars, or 1.36 percent, to settle at 86.59 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for June delivery went up 1.30 dollars, or 1.45 percent, to settle at 90.65 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
