SEOUL, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Price for goods and service among South Korean suppliers rose for the fourth successive month due to higher prices for farm goods and oil products, central bank data showed Tuesday.

The producer price index gained 0.2 percent in March compared to the previous month, continuing to increase since December last year, according to the Bank of Korea.

Price for agricultural, livestock and fishery products among suppliers advanced 1.3 percent in March from a month earlier, keeping an upward trend for the fourth consecutive month.

Producer price for industrial products, including oil products, added 0.3 percent in March after climbing 0.2 percent in January and 0.6 percent in March.

Price for coal and oil products picked up 0.5 percent, and those for chemical and primary metal products expanded 0.6 percent and 0.7 percent each.

Producer price for electricity, natural gas and tap water was up 0.3 percent in March on a monthly basis after sliding 0.9 percent in the previous month.

Service price stood unchanged last month due to higher cost for the finance and insurance service that was offset by lower transport cost.
