Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices advanced on Wednesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for July delivery increased by 82 cents, or 1.12 percent, to settle at 74.07 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for August delivery gained 89 cents, or 1.15 percent, to settle at 78.41 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
