Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices advanced on Wednesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for July delivery increased by 60 cents, or 0.77 percent, to settle at 78.5 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for August delivery went up 68 cents, or 0.83 percent, to settle at 82.6 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
