HBIS Handan Iron and Steel Company sold more than 1.8 million metric tons (tonnes) of auto sheets in 2015, up about 80 percent year on year, according to hebnews.cn, an official website of Hebei Daily.
The company planned to sell 2.6 million tonnes of auto sheets in 2016, said the report. At present, Handan Iron and Steel Company has mastered many core technologies in production of auto sheets.
In September, 2015, the company produced the first 1,000MPa super-strength steel for automobiles in Hebei province. The super-strength CR550/980DP steel is mainly used for structural component and safety component of the automobile, which can make a vehicle much lighter and enhance its safety.
