Latest statistics released by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology show that the mobile phone penetration in south China's Guangdong province has exceeded 110 units/100 people.
In the first nine months of this year, China's mobile phone users increased 13.72 million to 1.30 billion and the penetration rate was 95.0 units/100 people.
A total of nine provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions had their mobile phone penetrations exceed 100 units/100 people, namely Beijing, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Fujian, Jiangsu, Liaoning, Hainan and Ningxia, and the first five regions had their penetration rate exceed 110 units/100 people.
