Two direct flights between Wuhan City in central China's Hubei Province and Malaysia's Kota Kinabalu and Phuket Island in Thailand will be launched by Air Asia, Hubei Airport Group said Monday.
The outbound flight to Kota Kinabalu will be operated by an Airbus 320 every day from Jan. 22, departing at 11:55 p.m. and arriving at 4:05 a.m. the next day (local time).
The flight to Phuket, which will enter service from Feb. 1, departs from Wuhan at 11:45 p.m. and arrives at 3:15 a.m. the next day (local time).
According to local transportation authorities, direct flights are expected to open will link Wuhan with more than 20 Air Asia locations in Southeast Asia. Wuhan currently has direct flights to more than 10 cities in Southeast Asia including Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Koh Samui.
