Some of China's power plants began to conduct coal sales business under the sufficient supply of coal in domestic market, disclosed an analyst with the information supplier ICIS on Monday.
The analyst explained that as some power plants could purchase coal at wholesale prices, the current loose supply of coal in domestic market could not only meet their self demands, but also enabled them to sell excessive coal to other users to make profits.
According to ICIS, power plants in east China have already conducted coal sales from the beginning of 2014, while Guangdong Yudean Group has begun to carry out the business in recent days.
