China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) convened a meeting on researching policies to boost intelligent manufacturing last week, reported the Xinhua-run cnstock.com on Tuesday.
Xin Guobin, vice MIIT minister stressed the importance and imperativeness of developing intelligent manufacturing and required relevant parties to use digital and information technology-based means to solve in particular information communication and information share related issues.
According to Li Dong, a vice department head of MIIT, four institutions would undertake the research task, namely, Chinese Academy of Engineering, China Academy of Telecommunication Research, China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID) and China Machinery Industry Information Institute.
