China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) is formulating polices and measures to support smart manufacturing projects, said the MIIT's vice minister Xin Guobin on Friday.
Xin said the ministry plans to strengthen its supports to special smart manufacturing projects through technology upgrade and industrial transformation and will recommend eligible smart manufacturing projects to the policy banks, such as the State Development Bank, for special funding.
According to the vice minister, smart manufacturing's development will boost the development of intelligent equipment industry, independent property rights and software and hardware products.
