The index came in at 98.9 points, up 0.7 percent year on year and increasing 0.4 percent from the previous month, according to a survey jointly released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and the Guangdong Lin'an Logistics Group.
Domestic market demand has continued to pick up while domestic production has been growing steadily since the last quarter of 2020, leading to steady and sound development momentum of road logistics demand, the survey showed.
As the Spring Festival holiday approaches, the demand for road logistics may show a steady but slowing trend, and the price index may go down and fluctuate slightly.
China's road logistics price index is based on the average price in the last week of December 2012, with the monthly index starting point at 100.
