China's mainstream producers of lithium carbonate recently raised prices of the battery lithium carbonate by 4,000-5,000 yuan/metric ton (tonne) to be in a range between 58,000 yuan/tonne and 60,000 yuan/tonne, representing an increase of between 9 percent and 11 percent from those at the beginning of the year.
Due to tight supplies and robust demand, the producers raised prices of the lithium carbonate. With the approach of the winter, production in salt lakes will be restricted. Given this, prices of the lithium carbonate are expected to continue to increase in the future, said analysts.
