China produced 63.32 million tonnes of crude steel in November, down 1.6 percent from a year ago, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) released over the weekend. Crude steel output during January-November totaled 738.38 million tonnes, down 2.2 percent year on year.
Pig iron output stood at 53.67 percent in November, down 0.8 percent on year, and 638.46 million tonnes in January-November, down 3.1 percent on year. Steel production grew 2 percent on year to 93.96 million tonnes in November, and the total output in January-November rose 1 percent on year to 1,028.12 million tonnes.
