China's electronics and IT manufacturing enterprises produced 1,398.32 million units of mobile phones in the first ten months of 2015, up one percent year on year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Meanwhile, the electronics and IT industry produced 237.88 million channels of mobile telecom base stations, up 8.9 percent year on year; and 15.18 million lines of stored program control exchanges, down 12.3 percent year on year.
The industry's telecom equipment business recorded a 13.5 percent year-on-year growth in sales value in the ten months, basically equal with that for the first nine months of 2015 and five percentage points higher than the electronics and IT manufacturing industry's average level.
The sales value accounted for 20.6 percent of the industry's total in the period. In a breakdown, the export delivery value grew 8.7 percent year on year, and the domestic sales value grew 18.4 percent year on year to 881.2 billion yuan.
