China produced 10.556 million metric tons (tonnes) of sugar in the October-August period of the 2014-15 crushing year. Meanwhile, sugar sales in the period totaled 8.793 million tonnes, bringing the sales to output ratio to 83.3 percent.
Specifically, output of cane sugar stood at 9.818 million tonnes during the ten months, and 8.129 million tonnes of cane sugar have been sold, marking a sales-output ratio of 82.79 percent.
