Shanghai crude oil futures open higher

SHANGHAI, May 16 (Xinhua) -- Crude oil futures opened higher Thursday on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange.    

The most active crude oil contract for June delivery was up 6.3 yuan (about 92 U.S. cents) to open at 507.2 yuan a barrel.    

China launched the crude oil futures trading, which is open to overseas investors, in March 2018.
