Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Thursday.

The West Texas Intermediate for March delivery increased 2.27 U.S. dollars, or 3.02 percent, to settle at 77.36 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for March delivery gained 2.39 dollars, or 2.99 percent, to settle at 82.43 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
