Tokyo stocks closed 0.43 percent in the morning session of Tuesday as the yen's weakness against the U. S. dollar gave strength to export-oriented issues. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 88.91 points, from Friday to 20,739.83. Tokyo markets were closed Monday for a national holiday. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange moved 5.02 points, or 0.3 percent higher, to 1,667.96. Gainers were led by shipping, air transport and pharmaceuticals.
