China's stock indices in Shanghai and Shenzhen opened a tad higher on Monday.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.65 percent higher at 3,221.17. The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.45 percent higher at 1,789.43, The SME Price Index for small firms was up 0.5 percent to open at 7,129.92, and the ChiNext Index opened 0.37 percent higher at 2.068.20.
Stocks of shipbuilding, public transport, aviation, environmental protection, transport, machinery, electric power, petroleum and telecom operation sectors led the gainers at the opening while those in household products and bank sectors led the losers.
