China's stock indices in Shanghai and Shenzhen opened tad higher on Monday.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.3 percent higher at 3,401.63. The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.39 percent higher at 1,974.68. The SME Price Index for small firms was up 0.42 percent to open at 7,743.06, and the ChiNext Index opened 0.66 percent higher at 2,465.11.
Stocks of hotel, internet, water facilities, environmental protection, aviation, media, computer and securities brokerage sectors led the gainers while those in public transport, nonferrous metals, gas supply, logistics and agricultural sectors led the losers.
