Stock indices tracking Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses opened lower on Wednesday.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.17 percent lower at 3,450.28. The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.31 percent lower at 2,191.45, The SME Price Index for small firms was down 0.20 percent to open at 8,146.64, and the ChiNext Index opened 0.08 percent lower at 2,653.24.
Stocks of shipbuilding, logistics, public transport, mineral products, internet, environmental protection, steel, medicines, and petroleum sectors led the losers at Wednesday's opening, while the leading gainers were in tourism, agriculture, daily chemicals, transport services, and engineering machinery sectors.
