China's Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses both opened lower on Friday.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.74 percent lower at 3,558.15. The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.32 percent lower at 2,236.77, The SME Price Index for small firms was down 0.58 percent to open at 8,298.07, and the ChiNext Index opened 0.21 percent lower at 2,702.56.
All listed sectors except for tourism, daily chemicals, and mineral products opened in the negative territory. Stocks of insurance, securities dealers, banking, hotels, telecom operation, shipbuilding, media and entertainment, property, logistics, agriculture, steel, petroleum, and liquor-making sectors led the losers at the opening.
