Stock indices tracking Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses opened tad higher on Tuesday.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.1 percent higher at 3,645.99. The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.22 percent higher at 2,363.28. The SME Price Index for small firms was up 0.16 percent to open at 8,587.38 and the ChiNext Index opened 0.25 percent higher at 2,836.96.
Stocks of education, environmental protection, aviation, agricultural, food and beverage, medical care, property, software, automobile, nonferrous metals and iron and steel sectors led the gainers at the opening while those in banking, insurance, tourism, transport equipment, coal and liquor brewing sectors were among the top losers.
