Share prices on the Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses opened higher on Friday. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.99 percent higher at 4,152.98.
The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 1.14 percent higher at 2,206.23. The SME Price Index for small firms was up 1.17 percent to open at 8,641.95 and the ChiNext Index opened 1.17 percent higher at 2,838.97.
The majority of stocks opened higher on Friday, of which stocks in internet, computer, logistics, telecom operation, public transport, machinery, software and securities brokerage sectors led the gainers while those in shipbuilding, hotel, food and beverage, liquor brewing, nonferrous metals and machinery sectors saw smaller gains.
