TOKYO, June 4 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks lost ground Tuesday morning as earlier gains were erased as investor sentiment was dented by ongoing concerns about global trade issues.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 85.86 points, or 0.42 percent, from Monday to 20,325.02. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, fell 6.47 points, or 0.43 percent, at 1,492.49.

Service, information and communication, and land transportation-linked issues comprised those that declined the most by the morning break.
