Israel's goods exports to grow in 2021

JERUSALEM, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Israel's total exports of goods recorded an annual increase in 2021 compared to the previous year, Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics revealed on Monday.

Even before the addition of December's data, Israel's exports of goods reached 50.42 billion U.S. dollars since the beginning of this year, higher than the total of 47.49 billion dollars recorded in all of 2020.

The January-November figure is also 17.2 percent higher than the total of 43.03 billion dollars recorded in the same period last year.

Israeli hi-tech industry exports totaled 17.93 billion dollars in January-November, compared to 16.13 billion dollars in all of 2020 and 22.7 percent higher than the total recorded in the same 11 months last year.

Israeli imports totaled 80.86 billion dollars in January-November, up 32.3 percent year on year from 68.75 billion dollars in all of 2020.

Israel's trade deficit increased by 68.2 percent from 18.09 billion dollars in January to November of last year to 30.43 billion dollars in the same period this year.
