HANOI, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's total goods retail sales and consumer service revenues increased 9.6 percent year on year in the first 11 months of this year to over 5.6 quadrillion Vietnamese dong (230.7 billion U.S. dollars), according to the General Statistics Office.

Specifically, Vietnam's goods retail sales stood at over 4.4 quadrillion dong (181.3 billion dollars), up 8.6 percent year-on-year during the cited period.

From January to November, the restaurant and accommodation revenues increased 15.3 percent, and tourism revenues surged 50.5 percent compared to the same period last year, according to the office.

The Department of Domestic Market under the Ministry of Industry and Trade predicted that from now until the end of the year, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenues will increase again thanks to economic recovery, faster public disbursement and national sale promotion campaigns for year-end holidays, Cong Thuong (Industry and Trade) newspaper reported.
