New energy auto sales in China surged 2.2-fold year on year in September, totaling 28,092 units, according to a China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) press release on Tuesday.
Output of new energy vehicles last month came to 28,324 units, up 2.1-fold compared to September 2014. In the first nine months, output and sales of new energy vehicles in China stood at 144,284 and 136,733 units, up 2.0-fold and 2.3-fold year on year, respectively.
