China's electronics and IT manufacturing industry produced 218.91 million units of microcomputers in the first nine months of 2015, declining 12.8 percent year on year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
In a breakdown, the output of laptop PCs went down 12.2 percent year on year, to 132.5 million units. Meanwhile, the industry produced 14.7 million units of digital cameras, down 18.3 percent year on year.
The industry's computer business generated 1,533.3 billion yuan of sales value in the period, declining 0.2 percent year on year. The growth rate was 3.7 percentage points lower than that for the same period of last year.
The contribution of computer business to total sales value of the whole electronics and IT manufacturing industry was -0.4 percent, 3.6 percentage points lower than that for the Jan.-Aug. period. The export delivery value of computer business was 1,089 billion yuan, down 5.3 percent year on year.
