China would introduce incentive measures to prompt recycling and comprehensive utilization of agriculture film, according to a release by the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) Tuesday.
The country aims to recycle or realize comprehensive use of over 80 percent agricultural plastic sheet by 2020, said the release. A special meeting on comprehensive use of agricultural plastic sheet was held recently in northwest China's Lanzhou city by the MoA and the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
In the next step, the government would issue incentive polices on utilization of agriculture film and other agricultural wastes, according to Ma Rong, deputy director of Department of Resource Conservation and Environmental Protection with the NDRC. Now, less than two thirds of agriculture film was recycled in the same season, which causes serious pollution to soil in partial areas.
