China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State Administration of Taxation have jointly released a catalogue of the sixth batch of new energy vehicles (NEVs) eligible for purchase tax exemption.
The policy will be effective until the end of 2017. According to the document, 725 models of NEVs are newly included in the catalogue, in which 591 models are pure electric cars and 134 are plug-in hybrid power cars.
Among the 591 pure electric cars, 38 are passenger cars, 415 are buses, two are trucks, and 136 are special-purpose vehicles..
Among the 134 plug-in hybrid power cars, nine are passenger cars, and 125 are buses.
Some NEVs involved are produced by Foton (600166.SH), BYD (002594.SZ), Dongfeng (600006.SH), Changan Auto (000625.SZ), SAIC (600104.SH) and Lifan (601777.SH).
