China Nov. product oil consumption at 21.93 mln t, down 6.3 pct on yr

Chinese production oil consumption in November dropped 6.3 percent year on year to 21.93 million tonnes, said a release by the national Development and Reform Commission on Tuesday.

In particular, gasoline consumption showed weak increase of 0.9 percent while diesel consumption slumped 13.1 percent year on year. By end-November, product oil stocks were 20,000 tonnes less than that in a month ago but 1.15 million tonnes higher than that in the same time of 2014.

China generated 17.52 million tonnes of crude oil and processed 40.03 million tonnes of crude oil in November, up 0.3 percent and 2 percent year on year, respectively. Still, output of product oil declined 0.4 percent year on year to 24.75 million tonnes.

In Jan.-Nov., Chinese output of crude oil and product oil totaled 195.2 million tonnes and 273.96 million tonnes, up 2 percent and 3.9 percent year on year, respectively. National crude oil throughput stood at 436.13 million tonnes in the first 11 months of 2015, increasing 3.1 percent year on year.

The consumption of gasoline expanded 7.6 percent year on year in Jan.-Nov., meanwhile diesel consumption shrank 4.2 percent year on year in the period.
