Central China's Henan Province's finance department recently placed 200 million yuan of special fund for the province's key coal enterprises' non-coal industrial upgrade and transformation.
Henan Province would allocate 200 million yuan of special fund annually in 2016-2018 to support key coal enterprises' non-coal industrial upgrade and transformation projects such as innovation, technological upgrading, as well as energy saving and emission reduction projects, according to a source with the provincial finance department.
This would actively advance supply-side structural reform in the coal production sector and help the coal industry get out of downturn, according to the source.
