China's stock indices in Shanghai and Shenzhen opened lower on Tuesday.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened 1.47 percent lower at 3,055.22. The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 1.6 percent lower at 1,710.14. The SME Price Index for small firms was down 1.63 percent to open at 6,738.25, and the ChiNext Index opened 1.54 percent lower at 2,089.54.
The majority of stocks opened lower on Tuesday, of which stocks in public transport, telecom equipment, shipbuilding, coal, aviation, internet, computer, agricultural, nonferrous metals and petroleum sectors led the losers.
