TOKYO, June 13 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened lower Thursday following a lackluster lead from Wall Street overnight, amid ongoing woes about growth prospects for the global economy.

As of 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 100.06 points, or 0.47 percent, from Wednesday to 21,029.66.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, fell 13.14 points, or 0.85 percent, at 1,541.08.

Oil and coal product, mining, and glass and ceramics product-linked issues comprised those that declined the most in the opening minutes after the morning bell.
