TOKYO, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened lower on Wednesday as investors lacked fresh trading cues including those related to a key international trade deal.

As of 9:15 a.m. local time, the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average dropped 103.02 points, or 0.44 percent, from Tuesday to 23,416.99.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, lost 2.89 points, or 0.17 percent, at 1,706.78.

Oil and coal product, iron and steel, and real estate-linked issues comprised those that declined the most in the opening minutes after the morning bell.
