Chinese authorities are drafting guidelines on promoting convergence among the primary, secondary and tertiary industries in the rural areas of the country, China Securities Journal reported on Thursday.
The No.1 Central Document of 2015 first mentioned the industry convergence in rural China in February this year, before the Fifth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party stressed the issue again in October.
Analysts expect the industry convergence in rural China will aim at enhancing agricultural quality and efficiency and increase the farmers' incomes, through developing agricultural product processing industry and leisure agriculture, and letting the farmers share in profits of processing and distribution.
