China's top economic planner, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on Wednesday released a document to advance the work on preparing for natural gas peak-load during winter.
Natural gas supply and demand have been generally stable during the first 10 months this year with natural gas output at 107.5 billion cubic meters, up 3.6 percent year on year, natural gas imports at 48.2 billion cubic metes, up 2.6 percent year on year and natural gas consumption at 146.9 billion cubic meters, up 2.7 percent year on year, the NDRC said.
The growth rates fell by 4.6 percentage points, 7.6 percentage points and 4.4 percentage points, respectively, as compared with the same period in 2014. In general, natural gas would be in abundant supply compared to demand from November 2015 to March 2016, according to the NDRC.
The NDRC required natural gas suppliers to secure preciously-set output target, optimize network dispatching, raise LNG stocking while scientifically use gas storage resources, refine emergency plan, strengthen demand side management, improve monitoring and analysis as well as maintain safe operation of the pipeline networks in a bid to ensure natural gas supply during winter.
