China's top oil and gas producer PetroChina (PTR.NYSE; 601857.SH; 00857.HK) Thursday commissioned the Sebei-Xining-Lanzhou natural gas pipeline and its parallel line after restructuring work started on July 25.
A total of 52.4 km of natural gas pipelines were restructured in the project in a bid to improve security.
Located in northwest China, Sebei-Xining-Lanzhou natural gas pipeline was put into operation 2001 with annual handling capacity of 2 billion cubic meters while its parallel line was commissioned in 2009 with handling capacity of 3.3 billion cubic meters.
The two pipelines extend over 900 km and start from Sebei No.1 natural gas field and end at Lanzhou city via Xining of Qinghai province.
