China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the industry and Internet regulator, urged firms' role in drafting standards for waste and old new energy auto battery recovery, reported the Xinhua-run cnstock.com Friday.
MIIT expressed the urges in its draft to solicit public opinions for formulating standards for comprehensive utilization of waste and old new energy auto batteries. It required firms to strictly follow relevant state and industry standards in dissembling, storing, dismantling, testing and recycling of waste and old new energy vehicle batteries.
MIIT also called for active efforts into R&D and application of resource recycling technologies, equipment and techniques related to positive and negative electrode materials, diaphragm, and electrolyte by newly-established companies or companies to expand their waste new energy auto battery recovery business to improve their recycling of relevant substances.
Besides, the MIIT draft stated requirements for corporate layout and projects construction, business sizes, equipment and techniques, resource utilization and energy consumption, environmental protection, safe production, product quality and professional education.
