China is likely to enlist graphene in the catalogue for key products of new material industry for 2016-2020, according to a report by China Securities Journal on Tuesday.
Development of graphene industry is expected to step up in 2016-2020 on policy support, industrial cluster, great investment in scientific research and reduction in manufacturing cost.
So far, there have been several graphene industrial clusters formed in China, which are growing stronger. Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei graphene industry alliance was established at the end of 2015. Besides, Xinhua Graphene Development Institute lately has been founded in Changzhou.
According to a report by China Innovation Alliance of the Graphene Indsutry, the global market value of graphene industry is expected to hit 149 million US dollars by 2020 with annual growth of 44 percent in 2014-2020.
