The daily crude steel output in China is expected to be 2,039,000 metric tons (tonnes) in January, down 1.8 percent month on month, estimated by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA). By the end of January, steel stocks of the CISA member steelmakers amounted to about 12,017,100 tonnes, down 3.3 percent month on month and also down 18.6 percent year on year.
