Chinese shares open higher on Mon.

China's stock exchanges in Shanghai and Shenzhen opened higher on Monday. The Shanghai Composite Index opened 2.31 percent higher at 4,289.77. The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 1.77 percent higher a 2,547.37. The SME Price Index for small firms was up 1.94 percent to open at 9486.56, and the ChiNext Index opened 0.78 percent higher at 2,943.50.

Stocks of transport service, securities brokerage, property, aviation, liquor brewing, telecom operation, machinery, electric power, nonferrous metals and public transport sectors led the gainers at the opening while those of internet and commercial sectors led the decliners.
