China's household appliance industry generated 926.81 billion yuan of main business revenue in the first eight months of 2015, up 2.8 percent year on year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, it made 55.45 billion yuan of total profit, up 8.9 percent year on year and paid 25.96 billion yuan in taxes, up 7.6 percent year on year. The industry posted a sales-output ratio of 95.4 percent in the first eight months of 2015, down 1.3 percentage points year on year.
It had an accumulated value of export delivery of 235.05 billion yuan in the period, up 0.9 percent year on year. In a breakdown, the output of household refrigerators was 64.46 million units, down 1.3 percent year on year; that of household air conditioners 112.64 million units, up 1.5 percent; that of household washing machines, 46.36 million units, up 2.5 percent.
In August, the sales-output ratio was 96.7 percent, down 0.6 percentage point year on year; and the export delivery value reached 28.4 billion yuan, down 2.1 percent year on year.
The outputs of household refrigerators, household air conditioners and household washing machines were 7.19 million units, 10.53 million units and 6.11 million units, down 3.6 percent, 5.2 percent and up 0.9 percent year on year, respectively.
