Sogou.com, a subsidiary of China's leading Internet company Sohu.com Inc. (SOHU.NASDAQ), announced that its mobile terminal flow had surpassed that of PC for the first time in the third quarter, according to its financial result released on Tuesday.
The financial result also showed that both its revenues and profits hit record high in the third quarter. The company's operating revenues increased 56 percent year on year to 1.021 billion yuan during the reporting period, while net profits skyrocketed over 500 percent on year to 214 million yuan.
Noticeably, the proportion of mobile search engine revenues in the total search engine revenues in the third quarter increased from 14 percent in the same period of 2014 to 30 percent.
The company noted that the rapid growth of mobile terminal flow and revenues could be attributed to its differentiated strategy. While enhancing the layout in mobile terminal, Sogou had deepened cooperation with Tencent to introduce distinguished services like WeChat search engine, question and answer platform.
