China's stock markets in Shanghai and Shenzhen opened tad higher on Friday.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.46 percent higher at 3,100.28. The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.60 percent higher at 1,668.33, The SME Price Index for small firms was up 0.79 percent to open at 6,611.26, and the ChiNext Index opened 0.77 percent higher at 1,948.12.
The majority of stocks opened higher on Friday, of which stocks of mineral products, environmental protection, software, media, automobile, tourism, nonferrous metals and medical care sectors led the gainers at the opening.
